Gallery 1018 (Dec 4, 2024). Out in the woods with a vinyl coat, Hunter Wellies and binoculars. It was going to be a lovely walk with lots to discover. The best thing was the Wellies, which allowed me to wade through puddles and mud without worrying. And yes, after a long period of rain there were lots of wet and boggy places and plenty of mud, mainly on the forest paths. This was probably because heavy harvesting machinery had churned up the ground and the rain had then turned it into deep muddy furrows. Really a marvellous forest walk, so that I almost forgot the time. In the end, we even had to sprint through the mud puddles so as not to miss our next appointment. Enjoy!
