Gallery 497 (Dec 10, 2014). A drained pond with a small footbridge, leading across a muddy estuary, attracted our attention and curiosity on that day. Even if we know this region like the back of our hand, we still hadn't noticed this nice, promising corner which obviously was covered in the floods before. Well, that's exactly what makes our pond area so exciting: when the ponds are flooded and drained again and again, permanently new, interesting spots arise. And this one looked so wild, messy and marshy that we simply couldn't resist to pay it a visit. It has been worthwhile. Never seen that my turquoise wellies appeared so bright in the mud.
